On the turn of the 30-minute mark in their Copa America Group Stage clash with Jamaica, Mexico star Edson Alvarez was substituted and carried off the pitch with a leg injury.
On a counter-attack by the Reggae Boyz, the West Ham United midfielder pulled up on the back of his leg, falling to the pitch and calling medical staff to his aid.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
It's a gutting blow for El Tri, and depending on the severity of the injury, it could completely affect their tournament. To add to it, he's been linked with some of the top clubs in Europe this summer for a transfer away from the Hammers.
Namely, Manchester United have been the side most interested in the Mexico star, but now, that move away has a potential cloud around it.

WHAT NEXT FOR MEXICO
Alvarez and Mexico are back in action Wednesday night in Copa America action. El Tri will take on Ecuador as Moises Caicedo and Co. search for their first three points of the tournament.
Alvarez, meanwhile, will have the severity of his injury determined by medical staff in the coming days.
